Kalenzi, Musinguzi Inspect Kibiito Health Centre IV, Identify Sites for mortuary and paediatric ward

Bunyangabu County Member of Parliament Dr. Victor Kalenzi and Bunyangabu District LC5 Chairperson Peter Musinguzi have visited Kibiito Health Centre IV to assess the facility’s needs and inspect sites for proposed infrastructure developments.

During the visit yesterday, the leaders, together with health workers, identified a site for the construction of a mortuary and another site for a proposed paediatric ward.

Kibiito Health Centre IV currently has no mortuary, a gap that has made it difficult for the facility to properly manage and preserve bodies of deceased patients.

The leaders also followed up on an ultrasound scan machine donated to the health centre by Dr. Kalenzi which had reportedly remained unused because the facility did not have a sonographer or radiographer to operate it.

Kalenzi has since provided a sonographer, paving the way for the ultrasound service to begin operating on Thursday, tomorrow.

The proposed paediatric ward is expected to strengthen the health centre’s capacity to provide specialized care to children and improve access to essential health services in the area.
