A boda boda rider has declared his intention to contest for the presidency in 2026 to unseat President Museveni.
Francis Mawejje, 30 a graduate of internal relations diplomacy from Cavendish University told journalists today on Monday that he is offering himself to “liberate the country” as he ushers in a new era of leadership.
Mawejje said he represents the “boda boda economy” that he said pretends to be progressing steadily but then gets stuck since everyone is chocking on debts.
He said the decision to stand for presidency is premised on the need to change the prevailing situation to ensure everyone thrives in whatever they do.
The 30 year old unveiled a seven-point program that he says will usher in a new era for the country, once elected as president.
He mentioned tackling unemployment, improving health and education sector, rationalization of government agencies and departments among others.
